Joan Pruden is a Western Manitoban artist. Widow, mother of four, draftsman with Bell Telephone; has been an active painter for eight years; mostly self-taught; has a sensitive interpretation; good sense of design. (1969 inventory)
Various cracks all over surface which appear to be pressure cracks from where the paint couldn't stretch, and cracked instead. Canvas in also loose. Frame has multiple small cracks and chips in the gild.
Item is a mini-chapbook entitled "Watching the Gibbous Moon" by Ben Phillips. It is series 2, number 4 in the Dollarpoems series. The series was publiched by Pierian Press, Brandon University with the aid of a grant from The Manitoba Arts Council.
