These blocks of ice were used to fill the ice houses of the Wheat City Ice Co. (located north of Rosser Avenue on the west side of 15th Street, and south of Princess Avenue on the east side of 17th Street), the CPR icehouses (at the station and 3rd St. & Assiniboine Ave), and the CNR icehouse (at Forth Street and McTavish Avenue). In addition, large quantities of ice were shipped to smaller towns in railcars (usually old refrigerator cars).

Photograph shows construction on the basement of the Brandon College Building and Clark Hall, including support beams, concrete walls, mounds of dirt and a number of workers.
Photograph shows what appears to be a flood in one of the hallways of the Brandon College Building and Clark Hall after the interior walls had been framed out.
There is a 3cm tear in TR area of painting. Frame has plaster gild broken in various areas, especially along the left vertical arm. The finish on the frame is also worn off in various places.
