Operated as Pool A, this wooden grain elevator was built by Manitoba Pool Elevators between 1983 and 1984. It was closed by 2007 and demolished by 2008.

Slide was in the possession of John Everitt before its donation to the SJ McKee Archives in 2007.

Item is an image of the new Manitoba Pool Elevator at Brandon, MB, under construction. The elevator was located at highways #1 and #10.

Scope and Content
Photograph shows a studio portrait of moustached wearing a three-piece suit, seated with six girls. The girls are wearing dresses, ribbons in their hair, and several have broaches pinned at their necks.
Series consists of portraits of students, mainly award and scholarship winners, faculty members, and other university staff members. Many of the photographs in the series appear in various editions of the Sickle.

Arrangement
Series has been divided into twenty-six sub-series, representing letters of the alphabet. Individual portraits are arranged alphabetically by last name under each sub-series.
Mark 7 Hobbycrafts and Religious Supplies was located in the Security Building at 21 on 10th Street. The business appears to have opened on October 31 1966 and was owned by Lorne Baldrow. The previous owner of the store was Agusuta E. Wing and had called the store the Christian Book and Music Center. The store appears to have closed around 1969 when Lorne and his wife Edna moved to Calgary.

Image of the exterior of Mark 7 Hobbycrafts and Religious Supplies. Visible to the right is the office of Gerald Dressler, Optomistrist. To the left is a tenant sign for the Security Building. Tenants in 1968 included: the John Howard Society, Brandon Emergency Measures Organization, Viscount Optical, Kent's Accordion College, and Loch Lomond Knitwear Lts.
