Mr. Stuckey originally placed 32 negatives in one envelope labeled “M – Presidents of Fair Boards 1882 – 1972”; We have separated and renumbered these negatives as M30(1) to M30(32) inclusively; Records of the Provincial Exhibition Association are held in the S.J. McKee Archives (RG2) including photos of board members.
This is an artificially created body of records dealing with four firms acquired by A.E. McKenzie Seed Co. Ltd. An administrative history for each company can be found below.

Scope and Content
Included within the sub-series are financial records, correspondence, merger documents, miscellaneous documents and records. Not all of the companies contain the same categories of information. This series is sub divided into each of the major companies acquired by McKenzie Seeds throughout its years of operation. The sub-series include: (1) Brett-Young/Sabetha Seed Companies; (2) Steele Briggs Seed Company; (3) Pike and Co.; and (4) McFayden Seends.

This series consists of materials used for the Centennial Exhibit of McKenzie Seeds and miscellaneous publications.
It has been divided into three sub-series, including: (1) Centennial Exhibit; (2) Miscllaneous; and (3) Scrapbooks.

McS 6 Miscellaneous
Simmons taught Philosophy and Religious Studies at Brandon College/University from 1947-1971. Simmons was made Professor Emeritus in 1971. He died November 13, 1978.
Young graduated from Brandon College in 1955. He also taught in the Geology Department from 1960-c.1997. Young was granted Professor Emeritus status in 1998.
A plaque that accompanied the photograph and has since been discarded read: John R. Brodie, 1879-1962. Athlete, industrialist, and philanthropist. Resided in Brandon 1902-1920. Founded Great West Coal Company 1912. Contributed $250,000 to Brandon College, 1961, and left the college ¼ interest in his estate. Negative is located with the photograph.
