Information that accompanied the photograph: Born Wilcox Lake, Ontario, 1870. Died 1964 in Brandon, MB. A long-time member of a number of boards at the College. Played a role in re-establishing Brandon College through Brandon College Inc. and the McKenzie Foundation by donating 90% of the shares in his company to the MB Government to support higher education, specifically Brandon College.
The photograph was taken for the Centennial of Brandon College/University.

Photograph is looking northeast from approximately Victoria Avenue and 21st Street and shows the Brandon University campus, Kinsmen Stadium, the Assiniboine River and a number of residential neighbourhoods.
McNeil-Hordern graduted from Brandon University in 1987. She was the Executive Assitant to the President during Perkins' era and during Mallea's ear (1985-1990) she ran the Planning Office. McNeil-Hordern is married to former Brandon University Dean of Arts and member of the Religion Department, Peter Hordern.

Scope and Content
Photograph of Alison McNeil-Hordern and her son Scott Greenlay was taken at a special event to mark Brandon's centennial in 1981. For the occassion McNeil-Hordern wore her mother's wedding gown; Greenlay wore his grandfather's wedding suit.
McNeill-Hordern worked as Executive Assistant to the President (Perkins' era), and in the Planning Office. She completed her tenure at Brandon University as Director of Planning.
