The Old Brandon Gun Club was located on 6th Street south of the Canadian National tracks. In a note to Fred McGuinness, Bill Love shares a story about how children trapped pigeons for the glun from stables and church belfries. The birds were later used for pigeon pie.

Photograph shows a junior boys hockey team in a hockey rink. The boys are wearing Maple Leafs jersies. Hanging on the boards behind the team is a pennant that reads: The Rotary Club, Medicine Hat, Alta. Gallagher McGuinness is the goalie.

This photograph was published with the article "Heald Cops Swim Title," Medicine Hat News, 31 Aug 1961, 8. The caption published below the photograph reads: Happy group of Heald Pool swimmers pose with their NEWS trophy after winning city title Wednesday.
Photograph shows a group of 10 men, eight whom are wearing sweaters with the letters WCBC appliqued across the chest. The goalie is seated in a wodden chair and wears his goalie pads and skates. The four other players in the front row are also wearing skates and have their hockey sticks.

The Brandon Club, designed in 1904 by local architect and builder W.R. Marshall, was Brandon's oldest chartered club. It was located at 158 11th Street. In the early years as an exclusive institution, the club boased such notable members as Sir Clifford Sifton, Senator J.N. Kirchoffer, and Sir R.P. Roblin. The Brandon Club closed its doors c. 2005. At present (June 2007), it is the future home of Lennon Trilogy, professional land surveyors.
