The back of the photograph reads: Knots and splices made by Bill Pollock when he was in Grade Six at Kemnay School. They were awarded first place at the Boys and Girls Club Show in Brandon in 1916.
Negative shows a man dressed in coveralls working on a helicopter inside a hanger. The helicopter has a RCAF - Royal Canadian Air Force - logo on the exterior.

The painted advertisement for Doig, Rankin and Robertson is visible on the Alexandra Block. Christmas ornaments are displayed from light standards and include Santa Claus and a Christmas elf.
