Manitoba Flying Farmers Convention appears to have been a convention for farmers who planted and sprayed their crops using aerial techniques. The Manitoba Flying Farmers were organized in 1956 in Brandon, Manitoba. Organizational meetings were held in a hanger at the Brandon Flying Club. The first Regional 5 Flying Farmers Convention in Manitoba was held 1961. Nearly 200 people attended the first convention from various provinces and states including: Alberta, Saskatchewan, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnisota, Wisconsin, Montana and Colorado. Alberta and Saskatchewan had their own district leaving Manitoba in a district with North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnisota and Wisconsin. This photo was taken at the 11th Annual Manitoba Flying Farmers Convention on the weekend of April 7th, 1967.

There is a large number of women in the audience.The large number of women in the photo could be attributed to Flying Farmers queens of each distrcits encouragement of women learning to fly. Photograph shows a two identical wood-framed homes. Both homes are three-stories, with wrap-around porches with a glassed-in sunroom and two gables with wooden sunburst ornamentation. The property on the right has curtains hanging in the porch, the other property has a striped blanket to block the sun. The properties are surrounded by a low chain-link/chicken wire-like fence with wooden posts. Saplings and grass have been planted on the boulevard in front of the properties. The road in front of the houses appears to be unpaved, while the curbs and sidewalks and appear to be concrete.

Mark Delmage was a Lab Instructor in the Chemistry Department from January 1977 - July 1984. Chris Macdonald and Carl Belke taught in the Chemistry Department from September 1970 - June 1998 and September 1973 - August 2004 respectively. Rhonda Mathers was a Clerk/Typist for Chemistry/Geography from April 1979 to May 1983.

History / Biographical
Physical Plant provides security, workplace health and safety, building maintenance, utilities, cleaning, groundskeeping, and key storage services, as well as capital project management for the Brandon University campus. It includes the new Physical Plant building and new steam plant on 20th Street and the Site Services building on the corner of 20th Street and Louise Avenue. Prior to the opening of the new Physical Plant building in 2010, services were operated out of World War II era H-Huts in the centre of campus. The original steam plant (1962-1990s) was sold following the construction of the new steam plant.

Sub-series consists of photographs of Physical Plant buildings including: the original Steam Plant; the (new) Steam Plant; the Site Services Building; the Physical Plant H-Hut; and the new Physical Plant building.
