Scope and Content
File consists of the package given to each writer upon their arrival at the festival. The package includes a program and poster for the event, letters of welcome from: Louis Vistentin, President of Brandon University; Linda Burridge, University Librarian; Reinhold Kramer, Acting Dean of Arts; Darell Racine, Chair, Native Studies Department; Dave Burgess, Mayor of Brandon; and Di Brandt, Festival Committee. It also includes general information for the event, the University and the campus, and a bibliography of Canadian Aboriginal literature in the John E. Robbins Library.

8.4.1 Brandon Aboriginal Literary Festival
The Main Library was located in the A.E. McKenzie Building. The reading room was on the second floor in what is now the North Stacks. The Main Library was renamed the John E. Robbins Library on October 4, 1974.
Scope and Content
Photograph is looking north into the reading room of the Main Library.
Image is looking east northeast from approximately the 300 block of 23rd Street between Lorne and Louise Avenues. Photograph shows the Brandon College campus after the opening of the original Music Building in 1963, but before the construction of the Education Building in 1966. A number of house on the 300 blocks of 22nd and 21st Streets are visible in the foreground, with the A.E. McKenzie Seed Co., the Prince Edward Hotel and various grain elevators on the horizon.
