According to Stuckey and Bain (1996), “The Brandon, Saskatchewan & Hudson’s Bay Railway was built and operated as a totally owned subsidiary of the Great Northern Railway. Construction commenced in late 1905 and by the end of 1905, less than a mile of track had been laid north of the boundary at St. John. In 1906, the remaining 68.6 miles to Brandon were laid and service commenced that year. During the Depression of the 1930s, traffic declined significantly and the entire branch was abandoned in 1936. Over much of the branch’s length, the ties and rails were laid on the prairie without ballast and today little remains of the line apart from traces where there were cuts and bridges.” (p. 18)

Located on the east side of the 100 block 6th Street, Trotter & Trotter Livery Stable is not listed in the 1894 edition of the Henderson's Directory. It is noted in the 1897 edition.

Before becoming the McPherson & Bedford funeral home, I am pretty sure this was the home of Dr. A.T. Condell, who arrived in 1904, left in 1906, returned in 1908, was district coroner for 30 years and died in 1943 (Barker). LAS.

This is likely the same cigar factory mentioned by Barker (pages 110 & 179) as being owned by Barney Isman in 1907 and closing in 1917.
Building was the original Bank of Montreal
For many years this building housed the Carlton Café, prop. Sam Wong, later his sons Wesley, Walker and Charles. After Carlton, building became Trifons Pizza.
