[This station, located 13 km north of Brandon on the east side of PTH 10, was] built in the early 1930s to replace Knox as the CNR’s mainline station for Brandon. All passenger trains stopped and buses operated between the CNR’s Brandon station and Brandon North to meet all trains. It was enlarged as shown here in late 1930s, and at peak operation in the 1940s & 1950s saw six daily passenger trains 1 - 2 & 3 - 4 “Continental Limited” and 11 - 12 locals. VIA trains 3 and 4 "Supercontinental" ceased operation Nov. 15, 1981 leaving no passenger service on the former Grand Trunk Pacific mainline of CNR [at that time]. This station was demolished in the fall of 1982.

Photograph shows construction on the basement of the Brandon College Building and Clark Hall, including support beams, concrete walls, mounds of dirt and a number of workers.
Photograph shows what appears to be a flood in one of the hallways of the Brandon College Building and Clark Hall after the interior walls had been framed out.
The building near the back of the train was the original Salvation Army Citadel. Built in 1889, it was purchased by Wm. Graham in 1910 and moved to the west side of the 300 block of 10th St. It had to be moved to build the Prince Edward Hotel and eventually became part of "Billy" Graham's dance hall.

Northern Pacific and Manitoba Railway engine No. 5, with passenger train
Photograph shows the Brandon Wheat Market along Pacific Avenue on November 30, 1885. Farmers can be seen driving wagon teams loaded with bags of grain in line on Pacific Avenue from 10 Street to at least 7th Street. On the north side of Pacific Avenue the CPR Land Office and grain elevators are pictured. On the south side of Pacific Avenue, the general merchant/hardware store Bower, Blackburn, Mundell & Porter is situated on the corner of Pacific Avenue and 10th Street. A 10th Street sign is affixed to the merchants' store. On the east side of the general store, Edie House, the Grand View Hotel, and a Farmers' boarding and lodging house can be seen. Most of the buildings appear to be woodframed except for the Grand View, which is constructed of brick. Sidewalks appear to be in place on the south side of Pacific and snow dusts the streets. A baby swathed in winter clothing sits in a pram/baby carriage in front of the general store.

Shows the Fleming monument and dates as erected in Brandon Cemetery in 1899.
"Fleming monument is easily found in oldest part of Brandon Cemetery" - Fred McGuinness collection (20-2009).
Photograph shows the 800 block of Rosser Avenue facing west. On the south side of Rosser Avenue the Nation Block, Christie's Bookstore, and Reesor's Clock can be seen. A number of horse and buggies/carriages are travelling along Rosser Avenue.
Photograph was taken from the basement looking up and shows support beams, two outer walls covered in vapor barrier plastic, some windows and the missing roof.
