Due to the increasing volume of long-distance auto traffic in the 1920's, the city designated the block between Hill & Queen's Avenues and 9th & 10th streets as a "Tourist Camp" with a few basic facilities. After the demise of the Brandon Municipal Railway, several of the old car bodies were placed in the Tourist Camp to be used as cooking & eating shelters. Some may have had sleeping accommodations. Later (ca. 1938?) several were placed in a row along the south side of Victoria Avenue, approximately 28th or 29th St, and were used as the city's first drive-in hamburger place, "The Train Drive-in". This, I believe, only lasted one or two summer seasons. LAS.

This was one of two drinking fountains on the fair grounds - the other being by the children's paddling pool just inside the main gate on 13th St. In addition to the two fountains on the fair grounds, there was also one on Eighth St. across from the Baubier Hotel in the early days (Brandon: A City, Barker, p. 52). Old McLaren School on Provincial Exhibition grounds
The original Merchants Bank of Canada building (built 1890) was, at one time, used by St. John's Ambulance.
The second Merchants Bank of Canada building (built 1906) was used as the Brandon branch of the Western Manitoba Regional Library, and now is home to the Brandon Chamber of Commerce (P.E. 23/06/09).
The original Federal Building and Post Office was built in 1891
