The first 18th Street Bridge was built in 1907 as the "King Edward Bridge." It was replaced the following year by the second 18th Street Bridge. The third 18th Street Bridge, called the David Thompson Bridge, was replaced by twin bridges; the first twin bridge opened in 2009, the second twin bridge opened c. 2010.

Businesses (left to right): Leask & Ro___ General merchandise, Fortier & Bucke - Manufacturers' Agents and CPR Express Co., The New Era, Imperial Bank of Canada, Durand & Macdonald Law Office, T.D. McLean - jeweller, and J. Barker Vosburgh - Surgeon & Dentist. From Fred McGuinness.
The building near the back of the train was the original Salvation Army Citadel. Built in 1889, it was purchased by Wm. Graham in 1910 and moved to the west side of the 300 block of 10th St. It had to be moved to build the Prince Edward Hotel and eventually became part of "Billy" Graham's dance hall.
