Photograph came from the estate of Margaret Hawley Speers, Class of 1928. It was donated to the McKee Archives by her cousin David Speers in July 2009.
Scope and Content
Item consists of 87 small portraits of the members of the Brandon College Arts Class of 1928. There are also portraits of H.L. McNeill, Dean of Arts, and Prof. C.P. Kerr, Hon. President, as well as a photo of the Brandon College campus. The Class of 1928's motto "Patet Omnibus Veritas" is also included.
Photograph shows the north face of the Prince Edward Hotel on Princess Avenue. To the east of the hotel is Old City Hall with the military monument (which has since been relocated to the Brandon Armoury). On the west side of the hotel is Wheelers Esso Service Station.

The photograph appears to be taken from the Hughes Building on 10th Street.
Photograph shows Princess Avenue facing east from 10th Street. On the north side of Princess Avenue, a B/A Service Station, Princess Cafe, Lindenberg Seeds, and the Central Fire Station are visible. Old City Hall with the war memorial and the Prince Edward Hotel are visible on the south side of Princess Avenue. Traffic is travelling one-way on Princess Avenue.

Item consists of portraits of members of Brandon College's Intermediate Piano class, 1911, with a photograph of W.L. Wright (Instructor) in the middle. Students include: L. Smith; I. McVicar; E.M. Moore; F.E. Whitman; and Lina Smith.
Photograph shows the removal of one of the houses formerly located on 20th Street between Louise and Princess Avenues. The houses on those blocks were removed to create parking lots for the University. A Fed Zavislak Ltd. Well Drilling & Trucking pickup truck is visible at the curb.

View is northeast from the Brandon College Building. Photograph shows the inside of the Brandon College Building after it had been gutted and then partially rebuilt. The exterior fascade of the west side of the building can be clearly seen in this photograph. A number of houses on the east side of 200 block of 18th Street are also visible, as is the stone fence on Princess Avenue and the flag pole on the front lawn.
