The Original Brandon Fire Hall was located on the east half of the north side of the 600-block of Princess Avenue. The hall was in operation from 1884 to 1911.
Scope and Content
Photograph shows Brandon's first fire hall on Princess Avenue. The hose tower and stable are visible. The horse-drawn ladder wagon is parked on the street in front of the hall and the rescue ladder is extended against the tower. Five firefighters are standing on the ladder and two are standing at its base.

Fleming, Druggist is painted in the window above the door. Street signs designating 8th Street and Rosser Avenue are affixed to the building. A transit/theodolite is mounted on a tripod in front of the store.

View is east southeast from the road between Clark Hall and the A.E. McKenzie Building. Photograph shows the west side of Clark Hall and the old Physical Plant H-Hut that was connected to Clark Hall.
Photograph is looking west and shows the entrance to Flora Cowan Hall and the west side of the building. Also visible are portions of 20th Street and Louise Avenue before the construction of the Gymnasium or the Site Services Building.
Photograph is looking west northwest and shows the entrance to Flora Cowan Hall as well as a couple of houses on 20th Street where the present day Site Services Building stands.
Stuckey's notes: During World War II dances were held nightly on the second floor, well patronized by the boys from RCAF No. 10 Service Flying Training School (SFTS) Dauphin and RCAF No. 7 Bombing & Gunnery School (B&G) Paulson. While on course at No. 7 B&G I attended often - great times!
