Writing on the front of the photograph reads: Baptist Church, Presbyterian Church Brandon Man., St. Matthew's Church, Catholic Church and Monastery, Methodist Church.
Photograph shows a southwestern view of Clark Hall and the Brandon College Original Building. The Citizen Science Building is absent from the campus grounds.

Part of "Souvenir of Brandon, Manitoba, Canada [viewbook], Printed by Photogelatine Engraving Co. Limited, Ottawa." Dates obtained from the Burchill's Music Store Henderson's Brandon City Directory listings (1927-1929). Writing on the front of the photograph reads: Brandon College, Brandon, Man.
The Strome & White Co. General Store (L. foreground; built 1902) became Brandon Hardware & Brandon Hardware block, later Ashdowns; The final tenant was Stylerite Hardware with two floors of residential suites. It was destroyed by fire March 27, 1983

View of Rosser Avenue, looking east from Seventh Street
The Brandon Club (L. of center) was built in 1904. This local businessmen's club met in the old firehall until this building was erected by them.
[The Brandon Club closed and its assets were sold at auction on 18 June 2005. P.E. 01/06/2009]

Notes
Taken from roof of Prince Edward Hotel. Shows: Rat Portage Lumber Co., St. Matthew's Hall, Brandon Club, In distance Brandon College, International Harvester, Pumping Station. End of brick pavement at 14th Street is notable.
Photograph shows four men posing in front of a wood-framed shop on 8th Street and Rosser Avenue. The men are wearing three-piece suits or vests and long-sleeved shirts. A painted sign above the shop reads: Wright & Wright, Hamilton Stove & Tin Store. Hanging from the exterior walls are various tin items for sale: lantern, ladel, dust pan, pots and pans.

Writing on the back of the photograph reads: Corner of 8th & Rosser. Photograph is stamped Public Archives Canada.
Photograph shows a three-storey wood framed house with a front porch, second storey balcony, and third-storey gable and dormer winder. Saplings have been planted on the boulevard.
Photograph shows a two identical wood-framed homes. Both homes are three-stories, with wrap-around porches with a glassed-in sunroom and two gables with wooden sunburst ornamentation. The property on the right has curtains hanging in the porch, the other property has a striped blanket to block the sun. The properties are surrounded by a low chain-link/chicken wire-like fence with wooden posts. Saplings and grass have been planted on the boulevard in front of the properties. The road in front of the houses appears to be unpaved, while the curbs and sidewalks and appear to be concrete.
