The item is a poster published by the Baptist Union of Western Canada promoting Brandon College Sunday, February 28, 1932 asking Baptists throughout Western Canada to support Brandon College financially in its hour of need. The poster asserts that "Pres. Evans is Leading in the Sacrificial Effort by Faculty and Friends to keep the College open."
Photograph shows the interior of a bar with a group of 18 patrons and staff standing to the right of the counter. Two framed photographs of dogs playing poker hang above the bar. Date ascertained from certificate hanging above the cash register.

William Henderson is listed as the bartender for the Grand Union Hotel in the 1909 Henderson's Brandon City Directory.
Photograph has two small tears and one corner has been bent.
Custodial History
Photograph was accessioned by the McKee Archives in 1997. Prior custodial history is unknown. The photograph may have belonged to Mary Kathleen Hollies as the initials M.K.H. are written on the back of the photo.

View is northeast, taken from the John R. Brodie Science Centre. Photograph shows: the Brandon College Building, the Student Services H-Hut, the Education Building, and the Student Union Building (Citizens' Science Building), as well as 18th Street and some houses. The trailer to the south of the Education Building was a Canada Manpower office in the 1960s. It was latter moved over by the Gymnasium, where it became the Quill office.

Photo is looking north from 10th Street and shows the front of the Canadian Pacific Railway depot, located on the northside of Pacific Avenue. A number of people and vehicles a visible in front of the building.
