Stuckey's notes: During World War II dances were held nightly on the second floor, well patronized by the boys from RCAF No. 10 Service Flying Training School (SFTS) Dauphin and RCAF No. 7 Bombing & Gunnery School (B&G) Paulson. While on course at No. 7 B&G I attended often - great times!

Photograph is a proposed model for a centennial auditorium for western Manitoba prepared by Ward and Macdonald Associates - Architects. View is southeast from the northwest corner of Princess Avenue and 20th Street. The model includes the proposed auditorium as well as a number of buildings on the Brandon College campus.
Stuckey's notes: Brookdale is on long abandoned CPR Varcoe substation. Elevators are now privately owned by J.L. Jones Farms and have no rail connection.
