These are minutes from meetings of the Publications Committee from 1965 to 1968. The Publications Committee was in charge of the operation of The Quill, The Sickle, and the Student Handbook.

Series 8: Brandon College Students Association
The first issue of Connexion was printed in December 1970. The name Connexion was chosen "to symbolize the purpose of the periodical which is to form lines of communication between the administration of the university and the Academic Community." To this end, the publication contained articles released by the Board of Governors, the Senate, the Students' Executive, the Staff Association and other administrative offices of Brandon University. Connexion was published monthly until January-February 1972, when it became a quarterly publication in order to give the Information Office, who published the periodical, more time to focus on other tasks.
Inside Connexion was introduced in February 1972 as a bi-monthly publication for students, faculty and staff. It was dedicated to news, information and reports of interest to the Brandon University community.
Scope and Content
Sub-series consists of copies of Connexion (1970-73), Inside Connexion (1972) and Extension programs (Winter 1989). The Connexion file also has a few pieces of correspondence regarding articles/content in the publication.

Series 9: Department of Extension
File consists of a list of Brandon University Faculty publications/research in progress/papers read/honours received/offices held, a copy of "A Response to the Core Committee Interim Report" by Ron Capelle, and a copy of notes for a lecture by Arthur J.R. Smith at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education.

File consists of correpondence, tickets, band director Rodney Hudson's timetable, newsletters, an instrumental music program report, a list of string scholarships, an instrument brand names meeting standards list and a list of instruments, addresses, notes on billets, requests for accomodations, an agreement respecting the use of school buildings and news releases.

The Canadian Union of Public Employees came into existence in September 1963, during a convention in Winnipeg when The National Union of Public Employees and the National Union of Public Service Employees merged. In 1964, the Manitoba Division of CUPE (now CUPE Manitoba) held its founding convention in The Pas. At that time, there were 12 affiliated local unions and a total membership of 1,300. The Canadian Union of Public Employees is Canada's largest union. Public service employees formed CUPE to protect their rights, to negotiate wages and working conditions, and to achieve dignity in the workplace.
Custodial History
Fonds was in the possesssion of the Brandon CUPE Office until its donation to the S.J. McKee Archives in 1995.
Scope and Content
Fonds contains general administrative files of the CUPE including agreements, newspaper clippings, correspondence, and convention records. In addition, fonds includes records for many CUPE locals in southwestern and north-central Manitoba. These includes files for each local containing agreements, lists of officials, correspondence and financial records. An extensive body of records dating from 1956 exists for CUPE local #69. This local began its existence as the Brandon Civic Employees Federal Union formed in April 1919.

The series include various files from the Provincial Exhibition from 1980 and 1982. The contents include staff meetings, mailing lists, insurance, contracts, tenders, trophies and ribbons, animal events and shows, exhibits, results, etc.

These files were created by a member of the administrative staff of the winter fair.

The files include the administrative records from the 1980 RMWF and the 1982 RMWF. The files encompass such subjects as Prize List Production, Concessions, Correspondence, Mailing Lists, Canvassing, Grants and Donations, and many others.
