Scope and Content
Consists of two Brandon College badges. The largest, measuring, 4 x 4.5", is composed of red and white felt with the letters "B" and "C" intertwined in the centre of the badge. The smallest, measuring 2.5 x 3", is also composed of red and white felt, but only has the letter "B" in the centre of the badge.
Good. Some dirt remains at the bottom of the inkwell.
Scope and Content
The inkwell is 7 cm tall and 5 cm wide. It is made of clear glass with the words "Underwood Inks" (in raised letters) appearing at the front of the item.

Beatrice C. Hall graduated from Brandon College c. 1923. She was a teacher of some kind and died in California when she was about 80 years of age.
Custodial History
This ring was part of a donation, along with item 23, from Jean Bennest, class of 1934. It's original owner was Beatrice C. Campbell (nee Hall), a relative of Jean Bennest, and Brandon College graduate.
Scope and Content
The ring is oval in shape and made of gold. It has the letters "BC" entwined in the centre of the oval. There is lettering around the "BC" but it is worn and difficult to make out. It may read "Recte et Suavitem."

The Brandon College and Brandon University Art Exhibition Committee was active from 1960 to 1972. The Committee was established to promote the visual arts in Brandon through education and to sponsor exhibitions featuring the work of local artists.
Custodial History
The records were assembled by Robert Inch of the Brandon University Extension Office and Professor D.V. Reilly, who taught art through the Faculty of Education at Brandon University. They were donated to the McKee Archives in 1997.
Scope and Content
The sub-series contains records of past exhibitions, minutes and correspondence of the Brandon University Art Exhibition Committee. Sub-series also contains personal files on some artists consisting of correspondence and information pertaining to exhibitions of their work. There are also extensive files on past exhibits including advertising, correspondence, newspaper clippings, publications and files concerning local affiliated art clubs, such as the Student Camera Club at Brandon University.
The Brandon College Students series is an artificially created collection. It contains the private papers of former Brandon College students.

The spoons celebrate Brandon University's 25th Anniversary (1967-1992). They are gold plated teaspoons with a round emblem in blue with the words "Brandon University 25, 1967-1992" in gold. The spoons are approximately 11.5 cm long.

The Brandon Hills Busy Bees was formed in 1916 by eighteen women. The aim of the group was to assist with the war effort during World War One. At the end of the war it was decided to carry on the club and do community and welfare work. The Busy Bees met twice a month and, during World War Two, one meeting a month was devoted to Red Cross work.
In 1969, the younger members of the Brandon Hills Busy Bees decided to form their own organization called the Brandon Hills Community Fireflies.
The remaining members of the Busy Bees continued in their work until they disbanded as a society on September 14, 1988. At their last meeting it was decided to donate their records to the McKee Archives (minutes September 14, 1988).
Custodial History
In the minutes for the September 14, 1988 meeting of the Brandon Hills Busy Bees, Mrs. Mollie Baker made a motion to donate the record books of the organization to the Archive at Brandon University, and for Mrs. Nell Baker and Mrs. Lillian Coate to take them there. The motion was seconced by Mrs. Jean Kreller. Prior to their donation to the McKee Archives in 1988 the records were in the possession of members of the Brandon Hills Busy Bees.

Fonds consists of minute books with membership lists, accounts, newsclippings, correspondence, and reports, recipies (Treasurer's BK 1917-1919), treasurer's books, donation records, 2 photographs (1916 and ca. 1970s), a history of the Busy Bees 1916-1976 and calendars for the Womens' Auxiliary to the Grain Growers (Oakville, MB) for 1916-1918.
The mintue book for 1976-1981 also contains the minute book of The Red Cross Emergency Unit, Brandon Hills for December 1943-1947.

History / Biographical
The Brandon Square Dancing Club was started by E.J. "Curly" Tyler as part of his degree program at the University of Utah. Part of his obligation for his degree was to organize a recreation group, so he organized the Square Dancers. The club operated for two years under Tyler's direction, with the individuals he taught receiving certificates for proficiency. After he ceased to be its leader, the Brandon Square Dancing Club continued for a number of years. Much of the dancing took place at the Ag Extension Centre.
Custodial History
Photographs turned up somewhere in the old Original Building at the time of the renovations (mid 1990s) and were brought to the McKee Archives.
Scope and Content
Fonds consists of 44 black and white photographs of the Brandon Square Dancing Club. The majority of the photographs depict actual dancing. There is also one file with photocopies of the photographs. These photocopies identify individuals in the photographs.

Consists of a blue and gold felt crest. The letters "B" and "C" in blue on a gold background are intertwined at the top centre of the crest. Below that, in black lettering on a gold background is "McM.U." Below that in gold on a blue background is an oil lamp on a book (lamp of knowledge).

Consists of a Brandon University Winter Carnival button. The button measures 2.5" across, with a white background. In the centre of the button is the Winter Carnival mascot. The mascot is circled by "Brandon University Winter Carnival" in blue lettering. The button has a gold and purple (originally blue?) ribbon attached to it.
The chain between the Brandon College portion of the pin and the '35 portion of the pin is broken. There is some discoloration on the '35 pin.

Item belonged to Winnifred Harvery, B.A. '35. It was donted to the Alumni Association at Brandon University in 1990.
Scope and Content
The pin consists of two parts, both pins in their own right. The first pin is a circle, 1 cm in diameter, with a small banner on top. The main circle is black with BC entwined in the middle and a link border around the outside. The lettering and border are in gold. The banner on top is also black, with the letters McM.U. in gold. This pin is linked to a second pin by a gold chain. The second pin consists of the numbers '35, in gold.
This pin was part of a donation, along with item 24, from Jean Bennest, class of 1934. It's original owner is unknown. The date the items arrived at the McKee Archives is also unknown.

The pin consists of two parts, both pins in their own right. The first pin consists of three triangles and is art deco in design. The background of the triangles is red with each triangle edged in silver. The smallest triangle contains the letter "B, " the middle triangle the lettter "C," and the largest triangle the word "Arts." All the lettering is in silver. The first pin is connected to the second pin by a silver chain. The second pin consists of the number 30 and is sterling silver.
The Board of Governors of Brandon University is a body established by the Brandon University Act (1998), a statute of the Province of Manitoba. The Act vests in the Board the authority for governing Brandon University. The members of the Board of Governors, as trustees, hold the University in trust for the people of the Province of Manitoba. Responsibilities for maintaining this trust include: selection of a president, monitoring his/her performance, providing guidance to the University via its policies, and often delegating authority to the administration.
The Board of Governors is a collective representing the entire community (both internal and external of the University). As a collective, the Board of Governors is responsible for ensuring the financial stability of the institution and for seeing that the overall plans of the institution are consistent with the institution’s philosophy, goals, and financial resources.
