A series of three blueprints containing detailed drawings of floor plans for the library addition c. 1991 including the existing library. The drawings relate in particular to the location of books stacks, periodical and reference publication storage.

Photograph is looking southeast from 20th Street and shows the laying of pipes to the north of Darrach Hall and the Dining Hall as part of the Library extension. Photograph also shows a man surveying the site.
The building pictured was built in 1906-1907. Prior to its use as the Public Library, the building housed the Merchants Bank of Canada. Brandon Public Library [branch of Western Manitoba Regional Library].
The original Merchants Bank of Canada building (built 1890) was, at one time, used by St. John's Ambulance.
The second Merchants Bank of Canada building (built 1906) was used as the Brandon branch of the Western Manitoba Regional Library, and now is home to the Brandon Chamber of Commerce (P.E. 23/06/09).
The original Federal Building and Post Office was built in 1891

The Main Library was located in the A.E. McKenzie Building. The reading room was on the second floor in what is now the North Stacks. The Main Library was renamed the John E. Robbins Library on October 4, 1974.
