Gerus came to Brandon University from the University of Manitoba and taught in the History Department 1968-1969 as a replacement for Charles Lightbody. Following his year at BU, Gerus returned to the University of Manitoba.

Vining taught Mathematics, Natural Science, History, and Physics at Brandon College from 1900-1918. Vining wrote the lyrics to "Hail Our College;" his wife Abigail wrote the music.
