These items were received from Ms. Cooper’s father C.G. "Kelly" Stone , Class of 1921 and her mother Tena Turnbull, Class of 1921 and her aunts Jane Turnbull, Class of 1916 who later taught at the College and Bessie Turnbull , Class of 1918.
Scope and Content
Collection consists of 5 photographs; an article Campus News 1967 on "In memorium Dr. Jane"; and a photocopy of a letter from the Governor General Lord Tweedsmuir (John Buchan) regarding Jane Turnbull’s book "Essential Traits of French Canadian Literature". A note and xerox copy of a photograph of Ernestine Whiteside March 1914 to Jennie Turnbull.

Item is a mini-chapbook entitled "Jottings Toward the Country of the Light: 10 Ghazals" by Allan Cooper. It is series 2, number 1 in the Dollarpoems series. The series was publiched by Pierian Press, Brandon University with the aid of a grant from The Manitoba Arts Council.
McGill Field or the Brandon Municipal Airport is located 1.6 km north of Brandon. The historical buildings were part of the British Commonwealth Air Training plan during the Second World War. The Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum now occupies those buildings.

Ena Skafel has studied in Brandon and at the Banff School of Fine Arts under W.J. Phillips, W.G. Clyde, and W. Townsend. She has exhibited at the Brandon Allied Arts Center, the Brandon Library (sponsored by the Brandon Council of Women), Banff School of Fine Arts, Banff Traveling Exhibition, Canadian National Exhibition, Manitoba Society of Artists and at the Galerie Loujetsky, The Hague, Holland. Paint loss in area TR 10cm X R 22cm, c.. 0.5cm in diameter. Grungy accretion stains in TL and middle of image. Paint cracks in middle and TM of image, which could be result of blow or pressure from the back of canvas.
