Photograph shows the northwest corner of 10th Street and Princess Avenue. Traffic on the west side of Princess Avenue appears to travelling both ways. A car waits at the intersection.
Above the west entrance on the corner building is an electric sign that spells "Hughes Bldg." A second storey has yet to be added to the portion of the Doig's shop that is adjacent to the Alexandra Block.
Fitwell Tailors, a barber shop, and the Federal Building are visible on Princess Avenue.

Photograph shows a CPR passenger trains at the old Brandon train station. Carts/trolleys appear to be loaded with wooden crates and metal milk containers. Photograph was likely taken from the 8th Street Bridge. The ramp to the 8th Street Bridge can be seen on the ride of the photograph, where residences line Assiniboine Avenue.
The First Baptist Church at the corner of 11th Street and Lorne Avenue was built in 1904 from the designs of W.A. Elliott. This was the Baptist congregation's second church; the first, a wood frame structure erected in 1885, stood on the southwest corner of 10th Street and Princess Avenue. A third church was built at 3881 Park Avenue, with the official dedication on October 16, 1994. At present (June 2007), the First Baptist Church in the photograph remains, but is unoccupied.

The Motor Mart Building in Sioux City, Iowa, is listed on the United States National Park Service's National Register of Historic Places. The State Historical Society of Iowa submitted the application in 1993. The building is an architectural example of the Commercial Style of the late 19th and early 20th Century American Movement designed by E.J. Henriques and C.F. Lytle Co. The building has a concrete foundation, brick walls, and a concrete roof. The Turner Mushroom System, a patented structural system involving a poured reinforced concrete framed, was used in the construction of the building. Photograph shows a four-storey brick building, with a large showroom on the main floor. Inside, automobiles can be seen on display. Banners in the store windows read White Moon. The photograph was taken at night and exterior lights decorate the building.

Photograph shows the intersection of 10th Street and Princess Avenue, Brandon, Manitoba. View is facing northwest along west side of the 100-block of 10th Street. A stationary policeman/divider is at the centre of the intersection. Visible businesses include: Doig's, Plaza Shoe Shop, and Cambridge Clothes Shop. A horse-drawn sled is parked in front of Doig's store. The Olympia Block, Cecil Hotel, and CPR Station are visible in the background.
In the period leading up to World War I, Brandon, due to its excellent railway connections, was also home to branch offices of a number of large manufacturing companies during this period. Among those manufacturing outfits were William Gray & Sons Co. Ltd., and Mason Campbell Company. Based in Chatham, ON, these companies were leading manufacturers of carriages, sleighs and light wagons and fanning mills respectively. Constructed in 1907, by Giddings and Wyman for approximately $15,000, the four-storey structure was located at 801 Pacific Avenue and was shared by the two companies.
In response to the new technology of the gasoline engine, Wm. Gray & Sons entered into a partnership with the Dort Motor Company, of Flint, MI in 1915, and began designing and producing the Gray-Dort automobile; Mason Campbell’s Chatham plant became the assembly plant for the Gray-Dort. Production of the car spanned nearly ten years with over 20,000 Gray Dorts made. The company had over 300 dealers across the country, including one in Brandon.
In 1924, the Dort Motor Company decided to cease production, sending the Gray Company into significant debt. They were forced to close their doors in 1925, when Gray was unable to find a suitable partner to manufacture the car.
Following the closure of Gray-Campbell Ltd., portions of the warehouse were used by a number of businesses between 1925 - 1948, including farm and agricultural implement concerns Canadian Stover Co., Cameron & Rathwell, and Case (J.I.) Co. Ltd., the McKay Fruit Co. Ltd., Brazzell Motors, AC Bateman (electrician), Samuel Coxe (veterinarian) and Burns & Co. Ltd (packing house and egg grading station).
In 1949, the warehouse was taken over by Canada Grocers Ltd., who remained until 1973, when the building became Kullberg’s Big Warehouse. When Kullberg’s moved their warehouse to the old International Harvester building in 2004, the Wm. Gray & Sons Co. Ltd. building was torn down.
