Photograph shows the interior of Fred McGuinness' office at the Medicine Hat News. Fred is seen scribbling on a notepad at his desk. The newspaper was located at Second Street and Sixth Avenue in downtown Medicine Hat until it moved in 1981.

Scope and Content
Photograph shows the three storey brick terraced property at 12th Street and Lorne Avenue. The entrance/stoop on the west side of the property appears to have been removed and the Lorne Street entrances have been modified (see 3-1997.72 for a comparison). Ivy is growing up the side of the house and the tree on the boulevard have grown and tower above the roof-line. A motor car is parked on Lorne Avenue in front the property.
Photograph shows a number of snapshots of the McGuinness family. Members include: Fred's grandmother Mary Darroch; Fred's parents Isabella Louisa and William Frederick McGuinness; Fred's sisters Mary, Ruth, Dorreene, Orma, and Carol, and the McGuinness home at 337 - 17th Street.
