Photograph shows the ornamental fair ground gates. Writing on the edifice reads: Provincial Exhibition Park Brandon's Big Fair. On the six flag poles are the American flag, Union Jacks, and Red Ensign. A number of pedestrians can be seen strolling near the gate.

View is south southeast from the skywalk. Photograph shows the courtyard in winter full of vehicles, machines and building materials. Also visible are the Development and Physical Plant H-Huts, the Citizens' Science Building, the John R. Brodie Science Centre and McMaster Hall.
View is northwest from the roof of the Brandon College Building. Photograph was taken through wire fencing and shows construction on the roof of the Brandon College Building during winter. The original Clark Hall entrance to the roof is clearly visible. Portions of the A.E. McKenzie Building, Clark Hall and the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium are visible in the background.

History / Biographical
Wheat City Business College was established in 1904, when J.W. Beveridge and F.E. Werry resigned from the Commercial Department of Brandon College to establish the Wheat City Business College. It was located originally on the top floor of the Commercial Building at 143-10th Street, owned by Hughes and Co. Wheat City Business College continued to operate until the later 1960s. In 1911, the Henderson's Brandon City Directory lists the following teachers on staff: Mamie J. Macdougall, John B. Sample, John H. Snyder, Nettie M. Werry, and F.A. Wood (principal).

The Royal Bank moved to this location on 26 October 1929. An existing building was renovated to accomodate the bank. On 28 May 1976 fire destroyed the buildings from the lane west to the Royal Bank.

Photograph shows the south side of Rosser Avenue between 7th and 8th Streets, west of the Eaton's building. Visible shops include: Vogue [Ladies Wear], Smith's Drugs, Sobie's Tailored Undergarnments, Household Finance Loans, and The Royal Bank of Canada.
Operated as Pool A, this wooden grain elevator was built by Manitoba Pool Elevators between 1983 and 1984. It was closed by 2007 and demolished by 2008.

Item is an image of the new Manitoba Pool Elevator at Brandon, MB, under construction. The elevator was located at highways #1 and #10.
