The Royal Bank moved to this location on 26 October 1929. An existing building was renovated to accomodate the bank. On 28 May 1976 fire destroyed the buildings from the lane west to the Royal Bank.

Photograph shows the south side of Rosser Avenue between 7th and 8th Streets, west of the Eaton's building. Visible shops include: Vogue [Ladies Wear], Smith's Drugs, Sobie's Tailored Undergarnments, Household Finance Loans, and The Royal Bank of Canada.
Photograph of an east side of 10th Street facing north from Princess Avenue. Visible businesses include: Thunderbird Bowl, Canadian Pacific Telegraphs, Pittsburgh Paint & Glass, Strand Theatre, Trans Canada Credit Loans, Ted Heming Jewellers, Carlton Cafe, McKenzie Seeds, Clement Block, Mitrou's Cafe and Tea Room, and Brandon Musical Supply Ltd. Vehicles parked on 10th Street are facing north.

Doig's, originally located on Rosser Avenue, moved to the 10th Street location in 1921.

Visible businesses in the Alexander Block include Doig's, Box Brothers Hardware and Allied Hardware Stores, followed by Simpsons-Sears and Barry Neill Men's Wear in the Strathcona Block. The Johnny Smith Block is visible in the background.
This building, demolished in 1971 or 1972, was used by Western Grocers for many years, and then Richard (Dick) Town used it as a vegetable warehouse during the last ten years or so it was standing. Dick does not remember when it was built (it had no date) but remembers its first tenant as being Borbridge Harness, a harness manufacturer. (From L.A.S. conversation with R. Town, June 13, 1977.)
Borbridge Western Ltd. had extensive contracts with Canadian Army Cavalry during WWI.

This building was located on the east side of 11th Street, between Rosser & Pacific Avenues.
Photograph shows the 700-block of Rosser Avenue facing west. Visible businesses on the north side of Rosser Avenue include: Burchill's Music Store, E.W. Woolworth Co. Ltd. 5-10 and 15 Cent Store in the E.E. Evans Block, Empire Hotel, and W.A. Paterson Drugs. Automobiles are parked on both sides of the avenue and at the time the photograph was taken, Rosser Avenue was a two-way street.
