Businesses visible in the Fleming Block include: Lowes Brothers Clothing, Robert Hall [Insurance Broker], Manitoba Farmers Hedge and Wire Fence Company. Businesses visible in the Beaubier Block include the Empire Hotel. Businesses east of the Empire Hotel are grocer A.M. Percival and the Brandon Hardware Company. A number of Aboriginal peoples are travelling on horseback west along Rosser Avenue as spectators look on.

Photograph shows street view of north side of Rosser Avenue, primarily the 700 block. The Fleming Block, Beaubier Block and its Empire Hotel, A.M. Percival (a grocer), the Brandon Hardware Company (600 block), and the Arlington Hotel (500 block) are visible along the north side of the avenue. The Bank of Hamilton Building on the southeast corner of 8th Street and Rosser appears to be under construction. A sign in the second storey window above the main entrance reads: law office. The streets are muddy and a horse and buggy is traveling west on Rosser Avenue.

The spoons celebrate Brandon University's 25th Anniversary (1967-1992). They are gold plated teaspoons with a round emblem in blue with the words "Brandon University 25, 1967-1992" in gold. The spoons are approximately 11.5 cm long.

Alumni Event for the 80th Anniversary of the Quill held in the mingling area of the Knowles-Douglas building. L-R: Heather Stewart '58, Mike Czuboka '57, and Don Dillistone (1950s).
Discolouration/bleaching in the centre, mild tearing in the corner, missing fabric on some letters.
Scope and Content
Item was created by the Brandon College class of 1927 as part of their commencement activities. The flag, which is made of wool, features the class colours of black and orange, as well as the class motto "In omnia paratus" ("Prepared for everything"). The flag has a pocket for hanging.
Notes
Loose translations for the class mottos were provided by Dr. Rosanne Gasse (Latin) and Dr. Steve Robinson (Greek), as well as from googling the mottos in October 2006. Description by Trinity Nylen/Jessica Old (February 2024) and Christy Henry.
Located on the east side of the 100 block 6th Street, Trotter & Trotter Livery Stable is not listed in the 1894 edition of the Henderson's Directory. It is noted in the 1897 edition.
