Custodial History
The records were collected during the course of Jones' career as a member of the School of Music and as Dean of the School of Music. They remained in his possession until their donation to the McKee Archives on June 29, 2011.
Scope and Content
Collection consists of records created and collected during the course of Lawrence Jones' teaching career in the School of Music and during his tenure as Dean of the School of Music at Brandon University.
Records include: dean's log books; recital programs and related materials; personal documents; academic papers; planning documents; contracts; administration documents; workshop documents; teaching documents; proposals; reviews; evaluations; violin concerto by S.C. Eckhardt-Gramatte, piano score, edited by Lawrence Jones. Topics include: planning for the School of Music; Master's degree program; award winners; the music building expansion; adjudicating; the New Brandon University Trio; and the National Music Festival.
G.A. Brakeley & Co. Ltd. were retained by the Board of Directors of Brandon College in June 1958 to conduct a survey, make an analysis and prepare a plan in respect of a campaign for the purpose of raising capital funds.

Contains a collection of poems and stories written by the members of the Brandon Creative Writing Club.
Notes
The Brandon Creative Writing Club was formed in October 1968 to encourage literary interests and to give both an outlet for expression and a means of bringing together people of all ages and walks of life who had an interest in writing. The collection was published by Skunk Tail Press.
File consists of correpondence, tickets, band director Rodney Hudson's timetable, newsletters, an instrumental music program report, a list of string scholarships, an instrument brand names meeting standards list and a list of instruments, addresses, notes on billets, requests for accomodations, an agreement respecting the use of school buildings and news releases.

Item, which belonged to Colin Mailer, was part of a group of materials compiled by Gerald Brown from the personal collections of Colin Mailer, Lorne Watson, Norman Kalinski and Gerald Brown. Brown delivered the records to the Archives on November 17, 2009.
