Several years ago the Alumni Relations began a program of class reunions and reconvocation in conjunction with annual spring convocations. This program continues to the present (March 2006) and this document was produced in 2003 for the Class of 1943 reunion.
Custodial History
Images remain in the possession of Betty Knowlton (nee Burgoyne). She provided copies of the images to the Alumni Office for the Class of 1943 reunion. Those images were transferred to the McKee Archives by Alumni Relations.

File consists of copies of photographs of the Class of 1943 provided by Betty Knowlton (nee Burgoyne) for the Class of 1943 reunion. The photographs and descriptions are mounted on Brandon University cardstock. File also contains the program for the President's Reception and Dinner.
Some of the pages are hard to read as the photocopy wasn't made dark enough.

The 'scrapbook' was made by Lloyd Henderson and distributed to members of the Class of 1949 by Dave Organ.

Scope and Content
File consists of photocopies of pages from the Sickle on the Class of 1949, a list of class members lost (by 1979) and letters written by various members of the class of 1949 detailing their lives since they graduated from Brandon College.
[St. Joseph’s Academy provided education to the children of Brandon’s Catholic community and was overseen by its own Catholic school board. The Old Brandon Gun Club was located on 6th Street south of the Canadian National tracks. In a note to Fred McGuinness, Bill Love shares a story about how children trapped pigeons for the glun from stables and church belfries. The birds were later used for pigeon pie.

Photograph shows large group of men posing with their shotguns in front of a hunting blind or shed. The moustached man kneeling at the end of the second row, right-hand side, wearing a bowler hat has been identified as the grandfather of Bill Love (possibly William D. Love).
Photograph was given to the Athletics Department by Dave Bauman and then transferred to the Archives in May 2017.

The Griswold Protestant School District was established on September 9, 1885, to provide schooling for children residents in the village of Griswold and the surrounding countryside. It became the Griswold School District following school reform in Manitoba in 1890. The District existed until the early 1960s, when it was incorporated first into Brandon School Division #40 and subsequently into Division #41 (La Bosse). The Griswold School was still in operation in 1967. The building is now used as a community center.

Scope and Content
The single minute book in this fonds contains minutes on meetings held by the Griswold School District, in Griswold, Manitoba from 1907 to 1943. The minutes deal with questions related to teacher hiring and general administration in the school district.
