Courtney Milne, a native of the Canadian prairies, grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He was educated at the University of Saskatchewan, Brooks Institute, Santa Barbara, California, and the University of Minnesota. Milne is the author of several books: 'Prairie Light', 'Prairie Dreams' and recently 'The Sacred Earth', which contains images of 140 world sites that have held mystical and sacred importance for humanity (foreword to this book is written by His Holiness the Dalai Lama). Milne's work has been extensively exhibited both on national and international levels. Courtney Milne lives with his wife Sherrill Miller on an acreage outside Saskatoon. Barry Burdeny, whose home was at Vita, Manitoba, won first place at age 17 (in 1962) in a school art competition with some 10,000 plus entries and a prize of several thousand dollars. He produced many paintings in the next two years and entered Brandon College in 1964. (BU Art Catalogue, 1983)
David Romeril lived in France, Bahamas, immigrated to Canada in 1960. He worked as a teacher and social worker in northern Ontario and Manitoba communities. A series of six of his watercolors has been reproduced by Leech Printing in Brandon (1996 inventory)
