The fountain for people was in the small basin at the rear. From there, wasted water went through a pipe to the large basin in front to be used for dogs and, no doubt, horses on occasion. This was one of two drinking fountains on the fair grounds - the other being by the children's paddling pool just inside the main gate on 13th St. In addition to the two fountains on the fair grounds, there was also one on Eighth St. across from the Baubier Hotel in the early days (Brandon: A City, Barker, p. 52). Bunclody, MB was located near Souris, MB. The bridge in question crossed the Souris River.

Photograph shows a portion of the Great Northern Railway track with the Bunclody bridge in the background. Also visible are a couple of houses, railway cars, lumber and part of the Souris River. The photograph was taken in early winter or early spring.

Photograph shows an early view of Brandon's 6th Street in the 1880s. The Winter & O'Neail Groceries & Provisions and James Smart Hardware storefronts have been photographed. A street sign designating 6th Street can be seen below the Winter & O'Neail sign. A horse and cart is parked in front of the grocery store. A number of men wearing hats and jackets are standing along the boardwalk while posing for the picture. Lumber/timber saws are displayed in teh windows of the hardware store.
