Negative was stored in a Medicine Hat News envelope with the following typed on the front: Lind Love in the dentist's chair in Lahr as son, Michael, looks on..."Don't cry, Mom"
Several paint scratches all over image. Tear in canvas in BL area of the image. Canvas bulged form wooden back support on L, B and R. Traction cracks all over image (result of dry environment). 2cm vertical scratch in paint on BL side; small nail hole
Richard Halliday was born in Vancouver, B.C. in 1939. He studied in Vancouver School of Art with Ray Kiyooka and Jack Shadbolt. Further studies in Mexico. Halliday acted as a director of the Brandon Allied Arts Centre in 1964. He held exhibitions in Brandon and Winnipeg. (1996 inventory)
