Scope and Content
800 block of Rosser Avenue, south side. Johnson's Hardware Building; Mitrou Building; Christie Building (Brandon Musical Supply) just prior to demolition for Gallery Mall.
Metropolitan Store building is composed of: Dr. John McDiarmid building (closest) built 1885 and Nation & Shewan building built 1889. Combined building strengthened by E.C. Higgins 1920 - see neg. file K9.

800 block of Rosser Avenue, south side, looking west from 8th Street.
Photograph shows the northeast corner of 10th Street and Princess Avenue. OK Used Cars - Western Motors Ltds - used car lot and a building containing The Specialty Shop and another business are pictured. The exposed wall of the Brown Block has been painted over.
Photograph shows the west side of 10th Street between Rosser and Princess Avenues in the winter. Visible businesses include: Bottomley's, Simpsons-Sears, Lionel Electric, Allied Hardware Stores, Box Brothers Hardware, Doig's. Painted on the north face of the Strathcona Block are two advertisements, one for Sutherland and Robertson [Grocery] and the other for Boyd Electric Co. Ltd.
