Christie Building Fire
Notes
Located on the south side of the 800 block Rosser Ave.
Building was empty at the time and prepared for demolition for the new Gallery Mall. The fire was believed to be started by vandals, probably accidentally.
This photo also shows the Brandon Fire Department's (then) newest fire engine (see also file F21).
Built in 1908 (Barker p. 119); All but the northeast corner of the building was destroyed by fire on October 29, 1920, with the loss of many R.C.M.P. horses.

Photograph is looking northeast from 20th Street and shows the southside of the QEII Music Building and part of the west side of the A.E. McKenzie Building during winter.
Photograph is looking northeast from the east side of 20th Street and shows the southwest corner and south side of the QEII Music Building in spring, prior to landscaping.
View is southwest from the sidewalk in front of the building. Photograph shows the east side of the section of the building that connects the Brandon College Building and Clark Hall.
Photograph is looking south from the entrance to McMaster Hall and shows students talking on the sidewalk leading between McMaster Hall and the Citizens' Science Building.
