[St. Joseph’s Academy provided education to the children of Brandon’s Catholic community and was overseen by its own Catholic school board. Information that accopmanied the photograph reads: Harris Lachlan MacNeill. Born 1871 in Paisley, Ontario. Brandon College Professor 1903-1930. Dean of Arts 1912-1930, Acting President 1924-1927.
The original photograph remains in the custody of the donor, who scanned the digital copy and sent it to the McKee Archives in 2014. The donor's paternal grandmother graduated from Brandon Normal School in the Spring of 1912.
