Item is a mini-chapbook entitled "Passages: A triptych" by Per K. Brask. It is series 4, number 2 in the Dollarpoems series. The series was published by DOLLARPOEMS with the aid of a grant from The Manitoba Arts Council.

The Brandon Club, designed in 1904 by local architect and builder W.R. Marshall, was Brandon's oldest chartered club. It was located at 158 11th Street. In the early years as an exclusive institution, the club boased such notable members as Sir Clifford Sifton, Senator J.N. Kirchoffer, and Sir R.P. Roblin. The Brandon Club closed its doors c. 2005. At present (June 2007), it is the future home of Lennon Trilogy, professional land surveyors.

The 1896 Winnipeg Bonspiel, and Lieutenant-Govenor’s Trophy, was won by the Inglis rink of the Brandon Curling Club. The winning members were (left to right) G.H. Smith (first), Wm. Henderson (third), Jno. Inglis (skip) and W.L. Parrish (second ).

The photograph belonged to Tom Black who appears in the photograph (he is listed as J. Black). His son Errol acquired it at the time of his father's death and donated it to the McKee Archives in 2007.
Scope and Content
Photograph consists of portraits of the players and executive of the Southend Football Club. The Southend Football Club were winners of the Charity Cup in 1927, 1928 and 1930.
Photograph shows a number of youth posing at an outdoor swimming pool. Several children are sitting on the diving board, others are standing on the deck. Gallagher McGuinness is standing on the diving board
