CUSO is an organization in which university graduates can gain important international experience before entering careers. A number of Brandon College/Brandon University alumni participated in the program.
Scope and Content
The writing on the back of the photograph reads: "Cement being mixed on the ground without aid of a cement mixer. The school under construction shown in the back . . ." It appears that the bottom portion of the photograph has been cut off.
Photograph includes members of the Lodge including (listed on reverse of photograph) Joe Irwin, Bob Hastings, Dr. Dickson, Johnny Montgomery, Joe Robinson, John A. MacDonald, P.C. Duncan, A.B. Mcleod, Baptist Minister?[sic], Dr. McDiarmid, Lisle Christie, Rev. Flewelling, Mr.[sic] Burns.
Gerus came to Brandon University from the University of Manitoba and taught in the History Department 1968-1969 as a replacement for Charles Lightbody. Following his year at BU, Gerus returned to the University of Manitoba.
