Scope and Content
Photograph shows a horse drawn wagon advertising Cowan's Cocoa. The Gilmore Advertising Company of Toronto appears to be responsible for the ad and the wagon is numbered "No.4". Three men appear in the photograph: one behind the reigns, one in the rear seat of the wagon, and other standing at the rear axel.

James Forsythe and a drama student in Introduction to Theatre II chat in front of a poster advertising a production (Agatha Christie) of the Brandon University Drama Society. The photograph was taken in the Elephant Room, formerly the Studio Theatre of the Drama building.
Kurt Kranz was born at Emmerich on the Rhine in 1910 and joined the Bauhaus in 1930. In 1950 he became an Assistant Professor to the Hamburg Academy of Art. During much of the 1930s, Kranz headed Herbert Bayer's Dorland Studio in Berlin. He held a number of visiting professor or similar positions in the United States: Tulane University (1957-1958); University of California, Santa Barbara (1965); Academy of Honolulu(1966); Nihon University, Tokyo; and Harvard (1967-1968). The Chammber of the Turk series of watercolors were included in the circulation exhibition by the Smithsonian Institute 1973-1975 entitled "kurt kranz bauhaus and today."

Tyler by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in appreciation to members of Brandon University faculty, staff and administration for the arrangements associated with Her Majesty's October 5, 1984 visit to name the new Music Building.
