Adelene Monica Bailey was the wife of J.R.C. Evans, president of Brandon College (1928-1959).

Fonds consists of Bailey's diploma awarded by Victoria Avenue Methodist Sunday School (1911), and her diploma certifying her completion of the post-graduate course of study prescribed in the Pianoforte department of Brandon College (1924)

File consists of the package given to each writer upon their arrival at the festival. The package includes a program and poster for the event, letters of welcome from: Louis Vistentin, President of Brandon University; Linda Burridge, University Librarian; Reinhold Kramer, Acting Dean of Arts; Darell Racine, Chair, Native Studies Department; Dave Burgess, Mayor of Brandon; and Di Brandt, Festival Committee. It also includes general information for the event, the University and the campus, and a bibliography of Canadian Aboriginal literature in the John E. Robbins Library.

Item is a photocopy of McCutcheon's Doctor of Education Degree from Cornell University.
Location Original
Original degree was culled from the fonds by Tom Mitchell at the time the material was accessioned. The decision was made to cull the original because it had been heat-treated and laminated onto an oversized board.

The clock in the photograph was designed by Professor Doug Reilly and constructed by Professor David Eaton. Currently (February 2009) the clock is located in the main floor lounge in the Faculty of Education.
