The writing on the back of the photograph reads: "Cement being mixed on the ground without aid of a cement mixer. The school under construction shown in the back . . ." It appears that the bottom portion of the photograph has been cut off.

These lorries left whenever they had a load, which could consist of people, chickens, geese, goats and crates of fish on their way to market. These lorries all had odd names, which suited the owner." The lorry in the photograph is named "Are You God?"

The signature wall is a name created by the Archives and given to a piece of wall formerly located in either Clark Hall or the Brandon College Building that was covered in former students signatures. The signatures were discovered at the time of renovations to the building.
