In her third year, Porter won the Brandon College General Proficiency Award, the Margaret J. M. Stewart Memorial Scholarship in English, the J. B. Whitehead Memorial Scholarship in History, and the Ladies Orange Benevolent Association Scholarship in Religious Studies.
