Bollman, who worked for Statistics Canada, was the recipient of the Stanley Knowles Visiting Chair from Brandon University. He spent his time at the University in the Rural Development Institute (RDI).

William Davies, a Baptist meat packer from Toronto, provided money for the construction of the Brandon College Building.
