History / Biographical
Donkersloot began working at Brandon University in 1971 as the Clerk of Works. From 1973 until his retirement, he was the Director of Physical Plant.
Custodial History
Photographs were taken by Tom Donkersloot during construction and stored in albums in the Physical Plant H-Hut until they were transfered to the McKee Archives by Doug Duncalf in May 2008.

Seventy seven photographs of the construction of the Education Building.
Notes
Donkersloot recorded the date and time each photograph was taken on the back of the photos.
Photographs in this series relate to education in the Brandon area, including the Brandon Normal School, Brandon Collegiate Institute (BCI), and science fairs.

Photograph is shows the Arts Faculty Lounge prior to renovations of Clark Hall and the Brandon College Building. Seated: Morris Mott, History Department.
Photograph is looking west from the east side of the driveway and shows the Continuing Education H-Hut, which was located between the Brandon College Building and the Citzens' Science Building.

View is northeast, taken from the John R. Brodie Science Centre. Photograph shows: the Brandon College Building, the Student Services H-Hut, the Education Building, and the Student Union Building (Citizens' Science Building), as well as 18th Street and some houses. The trailer to the south of the Education Building was a Canada Manpower office in the 1960s. It was latter moved over by the Gymnasium, where it became the Quill office.

The Library left this location in 1984 when it moved to the former Co-op store on 7th Street & Princess Avenue. This building subsequently became the Brandon Chamber of Commerce building in September of 1985. According to Stuckey, the façade of the building is to remain as heritage building, with interior renovations undertaken with government financing.
