Scope and Content
Item was created by the Brandon College class of 1959 as part of their commencement activities. The flag, which is made of velvet and cotton blend, features the class colours of red and white, as well as the class motto “Floreat Veritas" ("May truth flourish"). The flag features the names of the graduates divided by faculty stitched in red thread on a shield surrounded by a laurel wreath and banner. The flag has two ties for hanging.

The original photograph remains in the custody of the donor, who scanned the digital copy and sent it to the McKee Archives in 2014. The donor's paternal grandmother graduated from Brandon Normal School in the Spring of 1912.
