Inscription on back: "This picture, depicted in ink, tries to capture the joy when one is caught up in the spirit. The spirit is represented by an eagle entwining itself with the excitement of the warrior. Excitement and joy are the feelings conveyed here." (1996)
Slightly creased all over, probably due to being rolled up in storage. Left edge is cut very rough with a jagged edge. Top edge has several pencil smudges.
Mrs. Butuk, resident of Medicine Hat and Eatonia, Saskatchewan, held an exhibition at Brandon College, 1966, mainly of oil paintings of prairie and South Saskatchewan River Valley scenes. (BU Art Catalogue, 1983) Some mountain scenes from study at Banff School.
