History / Biographical
The Motor Mart Building in Sioux City, Iowa, is listed on the United States National Park Service's National Register of Historic Places. The State Historical Society of Iowa submitted the application in 1993. The building is an architectural example of the Commercial Style of the late 19th and early 20th Century American Movement designed by E.J. Henriques and C.F. Lytle Co. The building has a concrete foundation, brick walls, and a concrete roof. The Turner Mushroom System, a patented structural system involving a poured reinforced concrete framed, was used in the construction of the building. Scope and Content
Photograph shows a four-storey brick building, with a large showroom on the main floor. Inside, automobiles can be seen on display. Banners in the store windows read White Moon. The photograph was taken at night and exterior lights decorate the building.

Custodial History
Image was donated to the McKee Archives in 2020 by Don Smith, Associate Curator/Manager of the Cornwall Community Museum/SD&G Historical Society and a volunteer with the City of Cornwall's Heritage Cornwall Committee. Smith was asked by a local used bookstore owner to find a home for a box of items they had acquired from the new owner of a Lancaster, ON are antique/collectibles operation.

History / Biographical
Ethel Maude Hall was born in the Cameron Municipality around 1901. She worked as a housekeeper and never married. Until 1965, she also farmed in the Millerway district northeast of Hartney with her brother William J "Bill" Hall (1899-1989), sister Mary E "Nellie" (1904-1983) and Joseph E. "Joe" Clark (1893-1981). When they sold the farm, the family moved to Hartney. Nellie and Ethel were active in a variety of organizations including the United Church, the Horticultural Society and the Willing Workers. The family all enjoyed travel as well as the Hart-Cam Centre and sports at the rink. Ethel Hall died on May 5, 1991 in Hartney, MB and is buried in the Elgin Cemetery.
Custodial History
As part of the Westman Oral History Collection, this collection was accessioned by the McKee Archives in 1998. The original tapes from the Westman Oral History project were deposited in the Brandon Public Library. Copies of these originals were made by Margaret Pollex of the Brandon University Language Lab at the request of Eileen McFadden, University Archivist in the early 1990s. These copies compose the collection held in the McKee Archives.

Item is an audiocassette tape containing an interview with Ethel Hall about threshing. Interviewer is Mary Thomas.
