Scope and Content
Item consists of portraits of members of Brandon College's Intermediate Piano class, 1911, with a photograph of W.L. Wright (Instructor) in the middle. Students include: L. Smith; I. McVicar; E.M. Moore; F.E. Whitman; and Lina Smith.
Principal of Normal School 1913-1938; author of Hales' Botany text.
His collection of mounted birds and animals - what was left of it after improper storage in various places, damage and dispersals - found a home as the B.J. Hales Natural History Museum at Brandon College in 1965.

Photograph shows a group of 14 individuals scattered throughout a yard of a two-storey brick home with an extension. An elderly woman can be seen a wheelchair. Four women are wearing white gowns with long sleeves.

Writing on the front corner of the photograph reads: 1868
Built in 1914 and located on the south side of Louise Avenue, west of 23rd Street. An extension to the south was added at a later date.
[Mr. Stuckey] attended this school from the fall of 1927 to the summer of 1933, grades 1-6, with one room for each grade. Teachers [that Mr. Stuckey] remembered: Grade 1 - Mrs. Mary Wilson (widow); Grade 2 - Miss Mary Harrison, Miss Harrap; Grade 3 - Miss Pottinger; Grade 4 - Miss Doak; Grade 6 - Mr. Allan Mitchell (married Miss Harrap). Principal 1927-28: Mr. Wood, Principal 1934: Mr. Allan Mitchell.
