Isabelle Burton Allan was born on May 11, 1902 on section 7-11-18 in the RM of Elton, north of Brandon, MB. Initially a public school teacher who taught in Kemnay, Oak Lake, Starbuck and in Brandon at David Livingstone School, Isabelle stayed home after her marriage to Frederick John Kingsley "Fred" Heeney (1900-2003) on October 21, 1931. The couple had two children: Dennis and Margaret. Following Fred's retirement, the couple moved to Brandon. Isabelle was active in both community and curch organizations, taking a special interest in the 4-H Club and the Daly House Museum. Isabelle Heeney died on June 2, 1996 in Brandon, MB. She is buried at Brandon Municipal Cemetery.

Frederick John Kingsley "Fred" Heeney was born on August 15, 1900 in Danford Lake, Quebec. The family left Quebec in 1906, and moved to Girvin, SK, then relocated to section 23-11-19 in the RM of Elton. Fred farmed section 29-11-19 at Forrest, MB until retiring in 1965.

Harry Mummery was born on August 26, 1889 in Chicago, Illinois. Harry arrived in Canada in 1898 and lived in Hamilton, Woodstock, Toronto, before the family moved to Brandon, MB in 1903; for many years he lived at 17 Lorne Avenue East. He and his wife Lena (nee Anderson) had nine children: Gordon, William, James, Donna, Grace, Helen, Patricia, Beverley and Enid. Outside the sporting world Harry worked on the Canadian Pacific Railway as a locomotive fireman and an engineer. Harry played professional Hockey in the National Hockey League for the Toronto Arenas, Quebec Bulldogs, Montreal Canadians and Hamilton Tigers. He played hockey with many of the great players such as Pat Moran, Joe Hall, Joe Malone, Billy Creighton, Jeff Malone, Rusty Crawford, Tommy Smith, Mike Quinn, Jack Adams, Reg Noble, Al Skinner, and Cy Didenny. Playing for the Montreal Canadiens he won the Stanley Cup. Harry Mummery died December 9, 1945. He is buried at Brandon Municipal Cemetery.
Walter “Bump” Mummery was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 10, 1893 and moved with his family to Canada, settling in Brandon, MB in 1903. Walter was employed as a locomotive engineer with the CPR for 46 years, retiring in 1955. He and his wife Myrtle (nee Ramsden) had three sons: Walter, Reginald and Kenneth. Mummery played professional hockey with the Quebec Bulldogs (1913-1918) and with the Dominion Hockey Club, Edmonton (1920-1923). Walter Mummery died suddenly on March 30, 1974, in Chicago. He is buried at Brandon Municipal Cemetery.
Reg Mummery (1920-1983) is the nephew of Harry Mummery and the son of Walter Mummery. Lillian Mummery (1901-1994) is the sister of Harry and Walter Mummery.

Lillian Helen Lawson (nee Arnold) was born in 1902 in Shoal Lake, MB. She took her schooling at Shoal Lake and then attended Normal School in Brandon, receiving a 2nd class certificate. She taught first at Plumas, then Briercrest in Saskatchwean, and then for six years in Hamiota. She resigned to marry Delmar James Lawson (1899-1973) on August 18, 1926. Together they had two sons, Arnold and John. Lillian was active in St. Paul's Anglican Church as a Sunday School teacher, organist an a life member of the ACW. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a longtime director of the Agricultural Society. Lillian enjoyed curling, golfing and bridge, and took pleasure in art and the playing the piano. She is listed as a Memorable Manitoban on the Manitoba Historical Society website. Lillian Lawson died on February 9, 1996 in Shoal Lake, MB. She is buried at Shoal Lake Cemetery.

James Gilmour was born on December 4, 1910 at Griswold, MB. In 1936, he moved with his family to the Forrest District where he worked on the McPhail farm. In 1938, he went to Norway House where he and his twin brother Wesley were on the staff at the Residential School.
Isabel Marjory Forsyth was born on January 25, 1917 in the farm home south of Pipestone, MB. After graduating from high school, Isabel attended the Women's Institute Course in Deloraine for dressmaking and cooking, where she learned skills she used for the rest of her life. In 1939, Isabel travelled to Norway House with a group of teachers, and that is where she met Jim Gilmour.
Jim joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942, and on November 7 of the same year he and Isabel were married. Following the marriage, the couple were stationed in Lethbridge, AB and then Mossbank, SK where Jim was a flight instructor. At the end of the war, the Gilmours moved to Pipestone where Jim was manager of the Co-op store. In 1948, they moved to join Jim's brother Hughie on the farm in the Forrest district. During his farming years, Jim was active in Forrest United Church, the rink board, the Pool Elevator board and the School board. He loved to garden, curl and visit. Isabel enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening and entertaining. She was involved in community activities including the United Church and as a 4-H leader for 17 years, and enjoyed curling and baseball. She also sketched and painted.
Jim and Isabel moved to Brandon in 1982, where they enjoyed bowling, bridge playing and square dancing. Isabel was also associated with "The Writer's Circle." In 2000, the couple moved to Virden to the Evergreen Place to be closer to family. Jim spent the last year of his life in the Sherwood Home in Virden.
Together the Gilmours had three daughters: Carol Anne, Joan and Lynne. James Gilmour died on March 20, 2003 in Virden, MB. Isabel Gilmour died on September 5, 2007 in Virden, MB. They are both buried at Rosewood Memorial Gardens.

Gordon Alexander Mooney was born on July 31, 1905 in the RM of Wallace. He farmed in the Woodnorth area until 1966, then retired to Virden, MB. In addition to farming, Gordon was reeve of the RM of Pipestone from 1949-1951. In retirement he did volunteer work, acted as a caretaker of public buildings and was assistant to the Trustee of Bankruptcy. Gordon married Sarah Ellen Cook (1903-1931) on December 31, 1929. Ellen died while giving birth to their son, Glenn Edward. Gordon married Elizabeth Muir Torrance (1910-1985) on October 1, 1938, and together they had a daughter, Diane Elizabeth. Gordon Mooney died on August 31, 1987 in Virden, MB. He is buried at Virden Cemetery.

William Gordon Patterson was born on January 19, 1901 on 11-7-18 in the Chesley district. He farmed the home farm from 1947 to 1963, then retired to Wawanesa. Gordon married Hannah Jane Bryce (1906-1984) in April 1958. They had no children. Gordon Patterson died on February 22, 1988 in Wawanesa, MB. He is buried at the Patterson family cemetery.

Gordon Hayes Chalmers was born on September 30, 1893 at Hayfield, MB. In 1903, he came to Brandon. Edna Pearl Smyth was born on July 27, 1900 near Breckenridge Station in the county of Eardley, Quebec. She came west with her parents in 1902 to Carlyle, SK. In 1919, Edna came to Brandon, MB, wherer she took business training and worked as a housekeeper. Edna married Gordon in 1926, and together they raised five children - Jean, Harold, Evelyn, Allen and Dorothy - while farming in the Brandon district at Grand Valley. They retired from farming in 1968, and moved into Brandon. Gordon was a life member of St. Paul's Church and later of Central United Church, where he served as an elder and usher for many years. He was also a long time trustee of the Grand Valley School and served on the Brandon Fair Board.. Edna was also active in the church, where she was a member of the UCW. Gordon Chalmers died on October 14, 1982 in Brandon, MB. Edna Chalmers died on February 7, 1987 in Brandon, MB. They are both buried at Rosewood Memorial Gardens.

Roy Gordon Coates was born on July 23, 1920 in Brandon, MB. He attended King George, Earl Haig and Central schools in the city. Following school, he began a career with the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) in 1939. Due to illness he was forced to retire in 1979. Roy married Thelma Cunningham (1922-1949) in 1942. In 1952, he married Norma Jean Orser (1932-?) in Souris, MB and together they had a daughter, Brenda Colleen. Roy was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks, Local 1113, the Orange Lodge, Sons of Ulster No. 1512, St. Paul's United Church, and later First Presbyterian Church where he served as superindent of Sunday school. He enjoyed gof, fishing and music. In retirment he became active with the Hillcrest Adult Day Club. Roy Coates died on July 12, 1985 in Brandon, MB. He is buried at Brandon Municipal Cemetery.
