"Radio towers of CKX on city hall grounds were 150 feet tall; Studio and transmitter were on the east side of city hall." - Fred McGuinness collection (20-2009).
[According to Mr. Stuckey] it snowed continuously from Oct. 7 to 10th, giving [Brandon] the heaviest snowfall ever recorded in October - must have been about 40".

In this photo CNR No. 6 Edmonton-Regina-Winnipeg is running 10 hours late as an Extra train
[Note that the train has backed into the station located on Ninth Street, adjacent to the Prince Edward Hotel. P.E. 28/07/09.]
Seeking temporary housing, a parade of patients walked from the Brandon Asylum to the Winter Fair Building (located on the 500 block of 10th Street) the day after fire completely destroyed the asylum.
This photo shows the First Street Bridge as built and opened in 1909.
Note the pile of kegs next to the Empire Brewery. [The building was then] owned by Dave Weiss of Brandon Scrap Iron & Metals Recycling Co.
